Parent Counseling

Parenting is one of life’s most profound and rewarding journeys—but it’s also among the most challenging. It brings moments of deep connection and joy, yet it can also stir up worry, exhaustion, guilt, and self-doubt. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, or uncertain about how best to support your child, know that you’re not alone—and you’re certainly not failing. These feelings don’t mean something is wrong with you; they simply mean you care deeply and are doing your best.

Today’s parents face pressures that previous generations never imagined. The stress around academic achievement, college admissions, and the relentless pace of extracurricular activities can feel overwhelming. Social media only magnifies these pressures, fueling constant comparison and the nagging sense that you and your child are never quite measuring up. It’s natural for these external demands to trigger internal questions: Am I supporting my child the right way? Am I missing something important? Why does this feel so hard?

I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly about your parenting experience—free from criticism or oversimplified advice. Whether you’re navigating behavioral challenges, school-related stress, emotional regulation issues, or supporting a child with ADHD, learning differences, or speech and language delays, you deserve guidance that is thoughtful, evidence-based, and tailored to your unique family. I bring both professional expertise—an advanced degree in child and adolescent treatment and decades of clinical experience—and the personal perspective of raising two children.

Together, we’ll look beneath the surface, exploring what’s happening for your child and you. Sometimes the work is about learning new strategies; other times, it’s about understanding your emotional responses, family dynamics, or the invisible pressures you’re carrying. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to parenting—every child is unique in temperament and needs. But with the right support, you can feel more grounded, more confident, and better equipped to guide your child in a world that doesn’t always make it easy.

You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. Let’s work together to help you—and your child—thrive.
